Abstract: The main objective of this work is to identify the challenges facing the avocado industry in the department of Antioquia in the areas of production and logistics in terms of circular economy, identifying the requirements of the European Union in this area and determining the current state of the avocado sector in Antioquia against these requirements, also describes the strategies that can be implemented so that the production and logistics processes are aligned with the main circular economy processes. The purpose of this research is to guide the producers, exporters and logistics operators of the avocado supply chain, so that they implement good practices in their processes, in order to focus on mitigating the environmental impacts they generate and in anticipation of the implementation of circular economy processes that are subsequently required by the European Union.
